  • September 5: “The ’60s: IPFW through the Decades Lecture/Luncheon Series” presented by Emeriti Faculty, 10 a.m. Walb Classic Ballroom. Dave Skelton, associate professor emeritus of education, and Don Schmidt, assistant professor emeritus of mechanical engineering technology, are the featured presenters.
  • September 12: The Fantasticks, directed by Craig A. Humphrey, Studio Theatre. Also September 13, 18, 19, and 20 at 8 p.m., and September 14 at 2 p.m.
  • September 14 to November 5: “Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals 1933–1945,” a traveling exhibit produced by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and sponsored locally by IPFW’s Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Artlink Inc., and the Harry W. Salon Foundation. The exhibit is at Artlink in the Auer Center for Arts and Culture, 300 E. Main in downtown Fort Wayne.
  • September 15: 50th Celebration Opening Campus Event, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Amphitheatre near the Visual Arts Building. Special program begins at 12:15p.m. Free food, entertainment, IPFW merchandise, and more.
  • September 23: 50th Celebration Omnibus Lecture Series featuring Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, historian, and political commentator. “Leadership Lessons of History: Doris Kearns Goodwin on the American Presidents,” 7:30 p.m., Rhinehart Music Center, free tickets required.
